Exclusive Follow-ups — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:Brent crude futures jumped on Monday to $106 per barrel, in a continuous rise that reflects the worsening of the global energy supply crisis.This rise comes after a series of successive developments, most notably the continuation of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to uncoordinated navigation, the complete halt of oil exports via the port of Yanbu after the targeting of the second pumping station on the “East-West” pipeline, along with Sana’a’s continuous strikes on Aramco facilities in Rabigh, Riyadh, Khurais, Jeddah, and Jizan, which resulted in wide fires and the halt of production lines.This coincides with the acknowledgment by Aramco’s CEO that refilling oil inventories may take about two years, and that “commercial onshore inventories have become much less than 6 billion barrels, which is the last line of defense available.”The cost of transporting oil from the Middle East has risen by 1000%, and the cost of chartering a very large crude carrier from the Gulf to the Far East has reached about $1.3 million per day, compared to less than $50,000 before the war.
