The total death toll from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon since October 8, 2023, has risen to 8,953 martyrs and 30,643 wounded, according to an announcement by the Lebanese Ministry of Health on Thursday evening, amid continued Israeli attacks on several southern regions.
The Ministry of Health’s Emergency Operations Center reported that the period from March 2 to September 17 alone witnessed the martyrdom of 4,386 people and the injury of 12,407 others, reflecting the scale of the human losses caused by the Israeli attacks during this period.
On the ground, the Israeli occupation army continued its attacks on southern regions, focusing its assaults on the town of Mansouri, which was subjected to two consecutive missile strikes.
The two strikes were followed by extensive bombing operations in two phases, targeting the town center and its fourth district, while the sounds of the powerful explosions reverberated in the city of Tyre and neighboring villages and towns. Israeli attacks extended to other southern areas, with the Ali al-Taher hill on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa subjected to intermittent artillery shelling.
This shelling comes amidst ongoing Israeli attacks and violations in southern Lebanon, coinciding with a rising death toll and number of wounded as a result of the aggression that began in October 2023.
