Today, Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces forced about 20 families to evacuate their homes in the northern alley ‘Al-Hadaida’ next to the Tulkarm camp, in preparation for turning them into new military barracks. This happened alongside a wide campaign of raids and arrests across various governorates of the West Bank, including home raids, field investigations with Palestinians, and detentions, among them released prisoners and women.
Eyad Jarad, Secretary of the Fatah Movement in Tulkarm, said that ‘the occupation forces forced about 20 families in the northern alley (Al-Hadaida) next to the Tulkarm camp to evacuate their homes and turned them into new military sites and barracks.’ Jarad pointed out that this evacuation comes amid the ongoing aggression by the occupation forces over the past two years on the camps in Tulkarm, Nur Shams, and Jenin, which has led to the displacement of about 40,000 Palestinians.
In Tulkarm Governorate, the occupation forces arrested five freed prisoners early Wednesday morning, including photojournalist Hazem Emad Nasser, who was arrested from his home in the Shweika suburb north of the city, 12 days after his release, following two years in administrative detention (without charge). In Jenin city in the northern West Bank, the occupation forces launched a campaign of arrests and field investigations that targeted a number of citizens, including freed prisoners and the freed detained dentist Shaima Abu Ghali, who was held for hours and then released. In Nablus in the northern West Bank, the occupation forces raided several neighborhoods and homes in the old city, arresting Palestinian Rabab Samara. They also arrested the brothers Ayham, Moatasem, Kamal, and Mahmoud Al-Asadi from the Al-Maajeen neighborhood in Nablus city, as well as Rimas Asaad Dweikat from the town of Beita south of Nablus. Additionally, the occupation forces arrested 12 citizens, including freed prisoners, from several towns, villages, and camps in Nablus.
On Wednesday evening, settlers attacked Palestinian citizens in the Lamqeibra area on the outskirts of the town of Michmas, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, and fired live bullets at them, before occupation forces stormed the area and fired sound bombs and tear gas at the citizens, according to the Jerusalem Governorate.
Meanwhile, the Jerusalem Governorate confirmed that occupation machinery demolished the home of Jerusalemite citizen Saeed Abu Nab in the town of Shuafat, north of Jerusalem, today, Wednesday. The house, which is about 80 square meters, was built in 2025 and was inhabited by him along with his wife and three daughters. Occupation forces also demolished the home of citizen Eyad Al-Kaswani in the Jannat Ad-Din neighborhood of Beit Hanina town, north of Jerusalem, claiming it was built without a permit and without prior warning.
